Cafe Roha

Logo/Identity | Literature/Menus | Business Collateral | Photography

Cafe Roha, a unique Ethiopian Cuisine restaurant in Santa Fe, New Mexico, brought traditional flavors and spices from Ethiopia with a touch of style.

Brand identity was created using symbols from the Amharic Script, which when combined read “Ro” and “Ha.” The complementary items and color patterns were inspired by traditional Ethiopian baskets and shapes. When paired with a vibrant color scheme, the brand identity’s style emerged, as we developed a versatile logo system, menus, print collateral, social media graphics, and more.

A Logo with Symbolism

We designed an iconic Amharic Script monogram symbol to represent the region of Ethiopia known as “Ro” “Ha,” a revered religious destination for the locals in that area. The logo embodied the rich traditions and culture of Ethiopians, and it was all complemented by an exquisite culinary experience.

Menu & Print Items

Creating an appealing menu was the primary target of the business. Additionally, I designed gift cards, business collateral, and promotional materials for the restaurant.
